I found this site which lists speed ratings:

but it doesn't mention 6 or E ??????

And what's all that about ratings in France have to match? Oh bother. Best have a look in the daylight.

I think my Combi has Swedish ones - Trelleborg? They much smaller than on your posh Pandas and Venezias.

Lol, I'm going to go & see my tyre man and ask him about it. He'll probably tell me they're too old and I need new ones, so_ja_nicht like he did with Piglet, but as I don't really want a blow out on a French motorway that may be a good idea anyway. m

Yes , but you don't have to go 80. 60 is a good travel speed, with 80 you will really have to be on guard.

hi
i managed to find some duro 16.5/6.5-8 tyres that have a speed rating of "M" that allow u to travel up to 130kph when in france. they were £72 for the pair fitted & were cheaper than trelleborgs which are only "J" rated limiting you to only a 100kph.

Is their limit 80mph or 80kph? 80 kph is 49.7mph and I think that's their limit. Edit:- just found it and it's the open road limit, 130kph or 110kph in the wet on motorways.
