Ah toilets! This is something we know a bit about!
We've experimented over the years but have settled on the blue for the waste tank and pink for the flush water.
As Caz says, watch your bum for burns - but there's a more serious problem than that.........................
It's essential to use the recommended chemicals. Don't try and use cheaper versions to save money and NEVER use bleach. As you can imagine, these toilets have a number of rubber seals to contain waste and fumes. Bleach (and other non-specified chemicals) will rot the seals.
And don't try to put your hand inside the bottom of the loo whilst holding a wipe to give it a wipe round inside.......cos you'll get your hand stuck and have to walk around with the bottom half of a loo on the end of your arm.....
The hole isn't big enough to get your hand back out again.....
Not that I would have first hand knowledge of this ........ unless my cleaning disorder got out of control......

So if I put bottom ( ) stuff in the top, apart from bum burn I risk damaging the seal? Even without formaldehyde? So how does the top n tail stuff overcome this?

Don't get all technical on me!
All I know is that you shouldn't use the wrong chemicals and try to 'make do' as the seals will be damaged. I've seen pictures and I think (ages ago) a film of a leaking toilet caused by seal damage. It wasn't nice!

I don't mind at all. No, really I'm just annoyed with whoever messed up Jan's car so they can't come this weekend. But every cloud has a silver lining and it has meant another friend can come now - Gill (Llig).
With regards to the blue/pink.....................
Most people try to use a substitute due to the prices being charged by c@r@v@n accessory shops etc. but Halfords have their own brand. It's more reasonably priced and is quite adequate for the job. You don't HAVE to pay a fortune for 'Thetfords' branded products.
