Not a gas heater, Ang - leccy fan, and/or halogen.

Outside temp may be a factor, although the worst was in October, not December as I would have expected. Also it was unseasonably warm last autumn, easily warmer than when we have camped in the two Conways in May & September. Maybe the humidity affects it?

Please can I have an all expenses paid trip to Denmark to investigate, Sooz? I can check the factory to make sure they're sewing them together properly and I'll even do Norway & Sweden at the same time to save on petrol costs. weint_vor_lachen

course you can caz - check with henning...

HI....... well, abouth the use of gas for heating, produce a lot og condention, I once read some place, that burning 1kg gas, produces 3 litres of water. The first CC we had 1971, the model with the socalled panorama window, from that I remember condensation under the beds when coming home from Italy, but in the following two models, the easy and the family ,I have never had any problems, when we got the easy in 1981 the former owner had gluet 20mm foam under the bottom of the CC, and the family we got two years ago ,there I have laid a carpet of this green grass carpets, see my homepage ,abouth the insolation of the family......

I must say the flooring underlay I put under the matresses seems to work well and I turn the mattresses every time I pack up - can't be doing with making beds every day whilst camping!!!

On the one I looked at yesterday, the top of the mattress was fabric but the bottom was a plastic leatherette stuff. Are they all made like that?

It was clean....although I'm a bit funny with things and will have to wash the inner tent and curtains/mattress covers etc.

There were'nt any marks on the canvas and no damp or mildew. There was plenty of room inside, as it was a sideways opening one.....but I wonder if the front to back opening one would be smaller and lighter. The first one I saw on ebay was front to back I think.

But it would be ideal for me cos I managed to put it up myself.... weint_vor_lachen

I'll watch it and bid last minute.

I have the Venezia Comfort and use a gas heater to warm everything up especially myself and I have no problems at all with condensation maybe its because I have the slatted bed, and I am always popping up the bed to get something out that I forgot. weint_vor_lachen

The benefit for you Kipsy with the comfort is that with the fitted slats, it's gas assisted opening. So easy for you to get to your lockers! blinzel

...the difference is with the kingsized slatted bed - if I'm right - has no solid board base on top of the storage, just slats so there's a lot more air circulating?? As the board is solids and polished the condensation sits there whereas with the older one of mine it was like a rough slightly absorbent base....

It would be easy enough to replace the board with slats......just need some supports underneath..... daumen_hoch

If you have a solid base with storage space under you could cut spaced hole in it (not too close together lol). My 400 had holes in the base and was fine - no condensation.

It's got to be something to do with the solid base then hasn't it. Obviously air is circulating when it's a slatted base, stopping the condensation.

If I get the one tomorrow, I might look at how the base is fitted, and change it over for slats.
