Happy new owner tho Very Happy

True, I did enjoy showing her off to Mike & Nic this morning, because they were so enthusiastic. I'll get over it.

Bren sent me details of the 1980s combi on Ebay with a Buy it Now of £250. It think this has come a bit too soon for me and may need a bit too much doing to it than I can handle [even with your good advice and help]. It's like marrying on the rebound. I'll wait for the time being I think.

Good luck Mike & Nic with Victoria. One thing I forgot to get but you should have anyway - more tent pegs! Was gonna get you some new shiny ones but didn't have the time in the end. Sorry. There's not enough red pegs to go round. But I'm sure you'll have loads of pegs from your tenting days?! so_ja_nicht

Finally back inside! I am absolutely exhausted! A long day but I couldn't just leave her sitting there, could I?
All the camping gear which has been residing on my dining room floor for the last week is now sorted out & ready to pack in tomorrow (just a shame I'm working til 2). I've packed in all the kitchen stuff. I was bit worried that I wouldn't be able to fit it all in as I'm a bit of a "& the kitchen sink" kinda gal but it's all in there! I'm amazed. Even the pile of stuff left in the dining room looks like it might even fit in the combi. Okay, the loo might have to go in the car but that's not bad for a first timer.
To be honest, I would still be out there now packing away (after all we DO go away on Fri) but Mike's made me come in as I aint had tea yet so_ja_nicht
Thanks for all the kind wishes, everyone, it's great to finally really belong.
And Jill don't worry about the pegs, we're fine on that score & we are definately more than happy with what we have. Thank you tanzt

Congrats to Nic on her new Combi....you won't be able to sleep tonight, you'll have packing routines going through your head!!, and hugs to Jilly. She's gone to a great home Jilly, and soon you'll be able to start the hunt for your next Combi, I feel it in my bones.....

If your loo is a Portapotti, it will fit in the under bed locker if you put the top tank beside the bottom tank - ours does!

Good idea about the loo guys. I had thought about seperating it & putting it on the rack on top but am waiting to get a cover for that one.
We have got so much camping stuff it's unreal. Packed her up last night so she's good to go. I must say, I'm really surprised as to how much stuff I managed to fit in, especially under the beds. I'm quite pleased with myself on how much I fit in there with it bein my 1st attempt but I'm sure I can do more next time then I can go shopping again weint_vor_lachen
Here's what we've got in there so far..

Under beds

back awning & poles
sun canopy & poles
folding picnic bench with 4 attached seats
2 folding outwell barbados wardrobes
2 childrens folding camp chairs
2 windbreaks
tent carpet for awning
enamel baking tray (used as fire pit), sticks & synthetic fire logs
folding table
tray from childs booster seat
radio
inspection lamp
3 picnic blankets

on top of beds

front panel for awing & poles (rest of awning still zipped on)
2 picnic blankets
2 memory foam mattress toppers
2 fleece underblankets
4 sleeping bags
4 pillows
4 sleeping bag liners
legs for cadac
4 arm rotary dryer
carpet
2 dukdalf style chairs
1 footrest for above chairs

& I think that is it
I did have a 5 in 1 inflatable sofa in there too but couldn't quite close it weint_vor_lachen

Will let you know how we get on in not so sunny Cornwall.

OMG - I keep watching the weather reports and thinking of Mike & Nic with Victoria in St Ives this week! At least she'll look after them better than a tent will!

Received my awning tent from Bongo Fury today. Now all I need is a dry day to try it out!
