After having a good poke around at our new Kitchen last weekend I am very happy with everything. I am planning to use a bucket to collect the waste water on site but have just noticed that the pitch we have booked in France this summer has a waste water drain on it.

Excuse my ignorance but I am assuming this is a drain in the ground which you stick your waste water pipe down and it saves you having to empty the bucket.

If this is correct, my next question is how do you extend the pipe on the sink so that it reaches to wherever on the pitch the drain is situated? I am assuming that it is probably at the edge of the pitch somewhere so the waste water pipe would need to be considerably longer than it currently is.

All advice gratefully received!

We've had pitches with drainage on the pitch. To avoid having to store a length of piping which might not be long enough and may get in the way, we tend to just enjoy not having to walk very far to empty the bucket!!

me too Ann - some people can position their unit just so and use it immed. into the drain but I have enough troble moving the thing full stop so just think use the bucket but instead of the walk its on your pitch to empty.......yes you can buy per metre etc lengths of grey waste pipe and attach it to the end of the underside of the kitchen - doesn't always drain away well though from experience with other units... ist_skeptisch

Hello all,
What you could use as drain hose (to save buying as we did) is the outlet pipe off a washing machine (our's blew up so we had to get a new one ist_depressiv ) I fitted a drain to the lower side of a bowl instead of the bottom so it would sit on the table, you just tilt the bowl to one side and away it goes!! so it was nearly a trip to the accessory shop when I saw the pipe, out with the tapemeasure just right!!! out with the knife, problem solved!!! daumen_hoch just to be safe I washed the pipeout before use, its saved a couple of quid and some petrol daumen_hoch sorry its long and drawn out, Tony weint_vor_lachen
