Just back from a few more days in the CC, we can recommend the CCC site at Chertsey if you want to spend time in that area, as long as you don't mind the sound of planes from Heathrow, we found a robust Rioja cures most sleeping problems. A very nice, fmily Pub / restaurant right next door to the site.
Put up in the absolute pouring rain, dry and tight in 2 minutes - great,
BUT, we have a bouncy floor too and there doesn't seem to be too much to be done about it other than completely stripping down the lid and re-building it. One thing I did find, was one of the welds has snapped on the roof-rack/floor support, it looks like rust had weakened the weld and possibly a rock in the ground speeded up the process. It looks like there is sufficient good metal around to re-weld but would recommend treating with Jenolite or similar rust inhibitor and Hammerite.
If its looking fine we're off to Eastnor Castle this weekend - Hoorah! |

What a great fourm to find. I have a combi camp 500 & have owned it over 20 years. We just got home from a week of happy camping and talking to the never ending parade of people wanting to know more about it, see it, or buy it.. I carry my brochure so I can let them read and look at pictures. This trip I was asked about a web site which led me here. Its so nice to see a fourm for CC's.
I had no idea there were new models available till now & do wish there were some dealers in the US. I would be willing to sell them if it could be possible. There is no doubt in my mind that they would sell themselves.
Nice to meet you all.
Lets go camping.
